* * * * * * * * * * * * * * Hello District 21,

You are all invited to attend the Region 1 Conference in Oakland, CA on June 19 and 20th. Our theme is "Take it to the Limit" and we plan to do just that. We will have some excellent Educational Sessions, informative General Sessions, great food, wonderful networking opportunities and of course an outstanding International Speech Contest to name a few.

I invite you to check out the conference website at: http://region1tm.org/Conference/conf2009.html

We continue to add additional information weekly so please check the website often. You can also register online or download a copy of the registration form from the website.

For those of you who have never visited Oakland, there is also a lot to see in the area. Why not come to the conference and make a vacation out of it. We are minutes from San Francisco and about an hour from the beautiful Napa Valley. Oakland itself also has a lot to see including museums, a zoo, parks and great restaurants among others. We have added a sights and attractions link to our website so you can explore all there is to see in our beautiful city and surrounding area's.

We look forward to seeing you at the Conference in June. Please note that Early Bird Registration ends on March 1st so register early to save $30 on a full conference. If you have any questions or comments here is some contact information for you:

Good work Jack!:) This is a great venue for sharing information about our club - who we are / what we do. Thanks for setting this up. Dot

The first post!

Here's the first post to our new blog. This should be a valuable tool that can assist both members and non-members alike. I'll work on fine tuning it over the next few weeks.
